What's Involved

Becoming a volunteer is easy!

We are always in need of enthusiastic individuals who are willing to give their time and energy in exchange for much appreciation and free access to some great films!

SHIFTS & COMPENSATION

  • You'll get your tickets at the start of the fest & can pick them up at Box Office under your last name

  • Theatre shifts are 1.5 hours = 1 film ticket per shift worked

  • Event and Box Office shifts are 3 hours = 2 film tickets per shift

  • Venue Manager shifts are 5 hours x 2 shifts = FULL Festival Pass

    • If you are interested in becoming a Venue Manager, please contact Stacey at 970.485.0325

  • You are encouraged to sign up for as many shifts as you’d like! The more shifts you work, the more FREE film tickets you will receive.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR 2018

  • For 2018, our goal is to streamline, simplify, and increase FUN for our amazing volunteers

  • In an effort to maximize the flow and ease of film screenings we have created different Volunteer Roles with specific job descriptions.

  • This will allow you to ‘specialize’ in a specific role and pick the job that suits you best!

  • When signing up for multiple shifts, we ask that you please sign up for the same Volunteer Role each time.

  • For example, if you sign up to be a Queue & Line Coordinator and you’d like to work more than one shift, please continue to sign up for the role of Queue & Line Coordinator for your additional shifts. (Ideally at the same venue.)

You’ll pull envelopes (Passholder, Filmmaker and Sponsor) with passes and programs, etc. inside and give them to Box Office Guide to be explained to patron. You’ll also be responsible for distributing single tickets to our Volunteers.

Box Office Guide
The Box Office Guide’s job is to help festival-goers have a successful festival experience by answering any questions they have, making sure our guests fully understand all the information we’re giving them (passes, tickets, programs, etc.), and explaining the Queue System when appropriate. This will be accomplished by taking guests to a quiet area and going through the contents of the packet we have for them. Special effort will go into welcoming filmmakers, sponsors and VIP donors.

Events
The Events crew are present at all festival event to help set up, work, clean up and interact with guests and Event Liaison. Duties might include welcoming people at the door, setting up food and drinks, clearing plates and glasses and answering questions - with a good amount of fun thrown in too!

Post-Fest Tear Down Crew
Ah, the festival is over and we get to organize and clean it up! We'll pick up signage, venue boxes and other items from around town, organize them and return them to storage.

Thank you very much for joining our team.

We appreciate it and look forward to working with you!
