  • Get into gear for the weekend by riding in the Bike Parade on Thursday, September 26 at 3 pm. Meet in front of The Public House at 202 Elk Ave. This event is also insta-worthy, so don’t forget to tag us #CBFF or @crestedbuttefilmfestival. 

  • Don’t have your bike with you? Don’t worry. You can rent one at Big Al’s Bicycle Heaven on Elk Avenue.

  • Hop on your bike for a fall colors ride with Stio and CBFF attendees. Friday, September 27th from 2:00-4:00pm, meet at the Stio van at the Four Way Stop at 601 Elk Avenue. Join us for a fall colors ride on the Lupine Trail. Some mountain bike experience is necessary, but this is a "no drop" ride. After the ride, connect with us again at the Outdoor Adventure Program during the Festival (starts at 9pm) at the Center for the Arts.

  • Discussion not only encourages understanding it sparks creativity. Join the Filmmaker Talks on Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th from 11:00-11:45 at The Public House. Tap into the creative minds that have brought you this year’s outstanding films. These intimate panels offer an opportunity to deeply engage with the artists, discussing craft, inspiration, and more.

  • Celebrate the award-winning films and directors at our Awards Ceremony on Saturday, September 28th at 8:15pm at Center for the Arts. Some of our most memorable moments have happened at this celebration of talent. And, make sure you catch these films during the last showings on Sunday.

  • Filmmakers, Sponsors, and Festival Passholders are invited to join us for our flamenco-inspired Red Carpet Spirited Soirée on Saturday, September 28th from 9-11 pm at Montanya Distillers. Don your finest threads, enjoy artisan cocktails, and mingle with filmmakers at this famous, award-winning distillery. You can purchase your pass here to join in this fun event. Kids are welcome. 

  • Join us Beyond the Screen after the Youth Film Program on Sunday, September 29th where we’ll offer unique activities to deepen the connection to the films you’ve just seen!

  • After the films, continue the joy of storytelling by visiting the Old Rock Community Library.




  • Start your day off right by grabbing some nosh at Rumors Coffee and Tea House to help fuel you through the day. They’ve got Bobo's Oat Bars, pastries, burritos, and more to get you ready for those films. 

  • Fuel your journey by trying out  The Last Steep, Elk Avenue Prime, or Tin Cup Pasty Co. (who is offering 10% off all weekend for passholders). 

  • Who doesn’t love pizza? Visit Mikeys Pizza for your fix.

  • It’s going to be hard to take a break from the film watching, but, when you must stop for lunch, try out the Public House for some serious poutine and 25% off food, Montanya Distillers cocktails, Buckel Family Wine, and Irwin Brewing Company beer all weekend for passholders. 

  • Or, be like a local, and head over to Montanya Distillery for award-winning rum and incredible street-inspired eats. There’s even a popcorn machine, which delights our kids every time!

  • Need a break from the kiddos? Check outThe Dogwood delicious cocktails and light bites, and relaxed cozy cabin atmosphere make it one of Crested Butte’s best loved spots.

  • Play is at the heart of storytelling. From open spaces to play centers, the Crested Butte Parks and Recreation system will help your kiddo play to their hearts content. Be sure to check out the newest playground, Pirate Park, right behind the Center for the Arts.
